Private Rodgers was shot in the arm during the battle and here the Doctor is removing his arm. Nurse Amanda assists in her first operation. Click on pictures to see a much larger picture.

The 18th Michigan's Chaplin DeWarren and his wife Gloria held services here on Sunday Morning. It still hadn't started raining yet but it would not be long. The battle was held at 3:00 with dinner at 6:00


The Civil War Doctor works on one of the soldiers (Private Sam) after the reenactment of one of the skirmishes on Sunday. Sam was wounded in the battle. The Doctor tells the crowd what kind of wounds a soldier might get and how he might treat them. Sam did recover from the wounds after surgery.


A good meal is always served to the people of the 18th Michigan. Here you can see that they are lucky to have found a couple of turkeys to feed the troops with


In the frying pan are Onions, Noodles, Bacon, and a few other things to go along with this special meal. Noon went hungry this day in Waldron on Labor Day.
