Two events for sites controlled by Rutherford B. Hayes Home each year. This one is at the Dillon house in July for a generational tea. The Birthday for R. B. Hayes the first weekend in October is the second.


Seated in the camp at the Seneca County heritage festival in Tiffin, Ohio in September. Schools days on Friday all day, Saturday is spent talking with the folks that visit. A Victorian ball on Saturday that is open to the public. Talks on the Main stage telling the history of the Lincoln Family, Saturday and Sunday.

Children are a large part of the focus of most events. Talking and presenting them with a picture (penny) helps to make this encounter with history real to them. Helping them in the future to understand that history was not just something in a book.


Delivering a speech at a Civil War reenactment is one of the ways information about the war, the President, and the Lincoln family is done.
