On or about the 18th of
September in the year of our Lord 2005. The Lincoln's (Said Abe & Mary)
did after very little thought play a well deserved tick on one Joey Hall
and his Son at the Seneca Heritage Festival in Tiffin Ohio. While they
(Father, Son and Friends) were playing a song about sailors going off to
sea and saying "Fair Well". They of course were not paying much
attention to any of the hundred people how were enjoying their fine
Scottish Music. They, with the Two Pairs of UGLY knees, did one at a
time cast their eyes on President Lincoln at the rear of the vast
audience. At first Joey didn't recognize the president (Photo Below) as
he scanned the listeners but his eye did return almost immediately to
the president. As a smile began to slowly creep onto his face he quickly
looked away. This of course only made his eyes return again to the
president who had not moved one muscle. This third look caused a rapid
increase in the size of the original smile and at this part in the song
came the words "Fair Well". The President waved in a wild manner at the
Band, Goodbye. Laughter by Joey followed. Shawn picked up the Words and
looking to see why His father had lost it. Looked at the President,
it was His turn to loose it. No more words followed until Joey said "ah
they all downed". Now members of the audience began to turn around to
see why they were both laughing. As each member turned around they began
to laugh until the entire group was enjoying it. Of course in an attempt
to get even. Joey said "You People are just not Right".
Who will get who first? Will it be at Fort Meigs
in 2006? Maybe not until Tiffin in September? Will you be there?

A great weekend was had in Carroll
County June 22, 23, & 24th of June 2001. We visited Carrollton,
Magnolia, Minerva, & Malvern. This 1879 Victorian Italianate Bed &
Breakfast has always been in the Elson Family. Built by co-founder Richard
Elson, it is across the street from the original homestead. It had been a
stop on the Underground Railroad and a National Historic Marker was
Dedicated this Day. It was placed there by
"The
Friends of Freedom Society" Ohio Underground Railroad
Association.
