Enclosed
you will find information on the programs I have been
presenting for school children. I started in 1988,
presenting these programs. So far presentations have been in ten states and Canada.
About a hundred and
forty programs each year.

|
The programs fall into
three basic formats.
|
 |
|
The first I call
"How I got to my
Gettysburg Address".
It begins in 1809 and traces the history through November of 1863. |
 |
|
The second is
"A news conference
with the sixteenth President".
I normally talk about the incorrect ideas people have about the
Lincoln's, the log cabin in Hodgenville, The Lincoln family
history, New Salem, how the Civil War started, and many other
topics. |
 |
|
The third is
"New Salem,
Springfield Illinois, The Executive Mansion
and the Family".
Topics include Life in New Salem, the move to Springfield, and the
exciting move to Washington, and last but not least, the Family. |

A visit to your school is as easy as a
simple phone call, your Fax machine or even
the World Wide Web on your school or home
computer. The fee can be paid by your local
school, the PTO or PTA, or even a local
business or area bank. Many businesses even
adopt a school and bring many programs and
improvements. There are many ways to bring
interesting and motivating programs to your
school this year. Some schools have even
scheduled a whole week of civil war programs
for their students. I would like to help you
with your ideas.
